Around sixty-five years ago, Manfred Rhodius set off in the VW bus that he'd converted into a mobile workshop to try out his newly-developed cutting discs in local factories and plants. He brought with him the first innovative cutting and grinding discs made by RHODIUS.
The experience and knowledge gained from practice was quickly transferred into the development of new RHODIUS abrasive tools. For example, as early as the end of the 1950s, production was switched from paper as a backing material to glass fibre fabric – as is still the case today with resin-bonded cutting and grinding discs.
This customer focus and the constant innovation have not changed at RHODIUS Abrasives to this day.
