An independent performance test reveals the difference: an ageing process of roughly 7 to 10 months was simulated in the test – the typical time frame for disc storage before first use. While conventional grinding discs suffer their greatest performance losses in the first weeks after production (cf. diagram*), the HydroProtect technology suppresses ageing due to moisture, to ensure that the XT10 retains almost its full performance capabilities even after spending months in storage.
