Certified and safe
RHODIUS tools comply with the safety requirements for bonded abrasive grinding wheels as specified in DIN EN 12413, for diamond-coated grinding tools as specified in DIN EN 13236, and for coated abrasives on backing types as specified in DIN EN 13743.
All processes, structures, and information and knowledge flows at RHODIUS are audited and certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. The energy management system implemented in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 enables more efficient use of energy and reduces CO2 emissions.

To meet the required safety standards, RHODIUS grinding tools must, in addition to the in-process inspections conducted during production, also pass a burst test, a side-load test, and a drop-hammer test.
Each year, the RHODIUS Test Center conducts more than 8,000 such additional safety tests.
In the impact test, for example, a force equivalent to 1.8 times the normal impact speed is applied. The discs must withstand this without damage.

RHODIUS is a manufacturer audited by oSa with ISO-certified quality management and documented processes.
The tools produced and delivered by RHODIUS are therefore authorized to bear the oSa mark. This mark certifies compliance with EN standards and the organization’s additional strict requirements for the safety of grinding tools.
The oSa conducts regular on-site production inspections and product monitoring. Only high-performance premium products with traceability back to the manufacturer receive the oSa mark.
