Corporate culture
At RHODIUS, ‘New Work’ and ‘work-life balance’ are not just empty phrases, but an integral part of our daily lives. This includes remote working outside of shift work, as well as trust-based working hours and flexible working hours. A respectful approach to one another, flat hierarchies with a ‘first-name culture’, open communication and a constructive approach to mistakes all contribute to the fact that employees at RHODIUS not only enjoy working together, but many of them also like to do things together in their free time.
Diversity
As part of an internationally active, family-run group of companies with over 50,000 employees worldwide, working at RHODIUS Abrasives offers a wide range of benefits and development opportunities.
These include, for example, intercultural contacts through working in an international team. This includes colleagues from India, South Korea and the Middle East, from across Europe and South America, who work at the parent company and in our ten sales subsidiaries. But even at our site in Burgbrohl, a tranquil town in the Eifel region, you will meet employees from around 30 nations.
Technical Equipment
At RHODIUS, you will work at ergonomically designed workstations equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software. Depending on your role, this IT infrastructure enables you to work remotely for up to three days a week (commonly referred to as working from home) without significantly compromising collaboration and communication with colleagues, customers and service providers.
Onboarding
To ensure everything runs smoothly from day one, the HR department and department heads plan a personalised onboarding programme for every new Rhodian. Your new colleagues will be on hand to offer advice and support from day one and will do their utmost to help you settle into your department quickly. In addition, you will get to know our product range through internal training sessions with our application engineers – not just in theory, but also through hands-on experience with our products.
Further training
Our Workplace Health Management (WHM) programme offers regular training sessions and seminars to support your fitness, and our digital health platform gives you access to an extensive range of courses. In addition, we regularly offer professional development seminars through our partners; we conduct regular team training sessions in the individual departments, and at RHODIUS we are always open to individual training requests – from seminars to part-time study, a wide range of options is available.
Collective agreement pay and additional benefits
RHODIUS is covered by a company-specific collective agreement within the chemical industry, which means far more to you than just free water and a fruit basket; it includes not only attractive pay but also many special and additional benefits.
